GMA Antibodies Featured in Blood Publication

The recent Blood article, ‘Prophylactic efficacy of BeneFIX vs Alprolix in hemophilia B mice,’ features three GMA antibodies. Antibodies to human Factor IX (GMA-101), human Factor X (GMA-540), and human Factor VII (GMA-213) were used in combination with an anti-collagen antibody to demonstrate localization of coagulation factors in human tissues. The study finds that not all available collagen binds Factor IX, and discusses implications of FIX localization on dosing recommendations and drug efficacy of the two therapeutics.
