A Vermont native, Kaitlyn received her B.S. in Biology from Saint Michael’s College, where she wrote a senior thesis on transcription-associated mutations in yeast. She joined Green Mountain Antibodies in 2011 and currently manages the antibody variable region sequencing and production services. Her research focuses on developing antibodies to bacterial virulence factors. Kaitlyn enjoys the collaborative nature of science, as well as the surprises and rewards that come moments after seeing the results of a well-planned experiment. She likes to spend her free time trolling for trophy salmon on Lake Champlain, mastering her archery skills for white-tailed deer season, and selling maple syrup produced by her family at the Burlington Farmer’s Market.
